Feast
A fire-led feast celebrating North West Tasmania
Returning Friday 10 April 2026, Feast kicks off the TrailGraze weekend at Basalt, overlooking Bass Strait in North West Tasmania.
This year’s dinner is led by Jimi Anderson of Season and Fire, known for cooking over live fire and letting Tasmania’s produce belt do the talking. Expect bold, honest flavours, generous shared plates, great drinks and stories that connect land, people and place.
Set on historic family farmland, Basalt brings dramatic views, deep roots and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to the opening night.
Seats are limited and this one always sells out.

The Annual TrailGraze dinner at Basalt is a feast built around fire, local food and stories.
What to Expect
This is a favourite, boots-and-autumn-layers kind of night. Guests are welcomed with a drink on arrival before gathering outdoors to watch produce come alive over fire, with canapés and conversation to follow (weather permitting).
As the evening unfolds, the experience centres on seasonal North West Tasmanian produce and the people behind it. Stories continue through the night, shared around the table.
A relaxed, immersive dinner that captures the heart of TrailGraze, connection, provenance and quietly exceptional food.
Dress Code
Boots on and autumn layers encouraged. Blunnies, boots or gumboots all welcome. Bring warm layers and a coat, we’ll be outdoors at the start and end of the evening.
